Critical Incident Debriefing

For people who have been exposed to, involved in or have witnessed a traumatic event it is important that they get professional support as soon as possible. A traumatic event could be a co-worker's death, suicide or serious illness, a violent or threatening incident in the work setting, or a natural or man-made disaster that affects the workers' ability to function in the workplace.

Critical Incident Stress Debriefing can help prevent or limit the development of post traumatic stress for anyone exposed to a critical incident. Professionally conducted debriefings can help the individual cope with, and recover from an incident's after effects. CISD (Critical Incident Stress Debriefing) enables the person exposed to the incident to understand that they are not alone in their reactions to a distressing event, and provides them with an opportunity to discuss their thoughts and feelings in a controlled and safe environment. Ideally, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing should take place within 24 to 72 hours of an incident.

Our Critical Incident Response Team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our team have worked onsite for the Grenfell Tower, the London and Manchester terrorist attacks, Bank robberies, suicide and natural disasters.
